Volatility Rating

High (4/5)

High volatility means less frequent but potentially larger wins. The 10,000x max win potential makes this ideal for players chasing substantial payouts across the 10 paylines. Players seeking extreme multipliers can explore Fishin' Frenzy the Big Catch slot, where fishermen catch fish prizes during free spins for potential wins up to 250,000x across 10 selectable paylines.

Core Game Features

Pick A Fish Bonus

Land 3 or more Scatter symbols (fishing boat) to trigger the interactive Pick A Fish bonus round. Click fish to reveal upgrades including golden fisherman who can collect your win up to 5 times, extra cashpots, additional free games, Can of Worms symbols, net gains mechanics, and trail boosts. Each pick enhances your upcoming free games feature.

10 Free Games

Once you've completed Pick A Fish, you'll trigger 10 free games where fisherman symbols scoop up every fish value on screen. Gather 4 fishermen to boost your lowest fish tier and claim 5 additional spins.

Power Play Mode

Activate Power Play for £0.50 to £5,000 stakes. Only fish, fisherman collects and bonus symbols appear - every spin delivers either a cash win or bonus trigger. No dead spins.

Can of Worms Mechanic

When a Can of Worms symbol lands with both a fish and fisherman in view, the worms collect the fish before the fisherman does. This worming out wins feature creates additional collection opportunities during free spins.

How The Bonus Triggers

Base Game Scatter Collection

Spin the 5 reels with 10 paylines. Watch for the fishing boat Scatter symbols with "SCATTER" written on the transom and the fisherman holding a large orange fish.

Trigger Pick A Fish

Landing 3 or more Scatter symbols anywhere in view awards the Pick A Fish bonus. On desktop, multiple fish swim across an underwater sunset scene. On mobile, 3 fish hang from hooks waiting for your selection.

Reveal Your Upgrades

Each fish you pick reveals one of nine possible upgrades: Golden Fish, Can of Worms, Additional Fish symbols, Net Gains, Trail Boost, Extra Fisherman, Super enhancements, Re-Spin for more picks, or Additional Free Games.

Play Enhanced Free Games

Enter 10 free games with your revealed upgrades active. Fisherman symbols collect all fish values in view. Accumulate 4 fishermen to upgrade fish tiers and win 5 extra spins. Collect enough fishermen and every fish becomes worth 50x your bet.

Rapid Fire Jackpot Chance

Land 5 or more Rapid Fire overlay symbols on any spin and you'll unlock the jackpot bonus, where instant cash prizes and 5 progressive pots, from Mini all the way up to Mega King, are up for grabs. Fans of this feature will find the same five-tier progressive jackpot system in Blueprint Gaming's Fishin' Frenzy The Big Catch 2 Rapid Fire, which pairs its Mini through Mega King pots with 10 free games and fisherman upgrade mechanics.

The Big Catch 3 Rapid Fire combines Blueprint Gaming's proven fisherman collector mechanic with their new low-value, high-frequency jackpot system. The Pick A Fish pre-feature adds genuine player agency - your selections directly impact free games volatility. Power Play mode suits impatient bonus hunters willing to pay premium stakes for guaranteed action.

Frequently Asked Questions

Blueprint Gaming offers three RTP configurations for this slot: 91%, 92%, and 94%. All versions include an additional Rapid Fire jackpot contribution percentage (RF %) on top of the base RTP, which feeds the five progressive jackpot tiers. The operator determines which RTP version is available in your region.
Land 3 or more Scatter symbols (the fishing boat with "SCATTER" written on it) anywhere in view during a base game spin. This triggers the Pick A Fish bonus round where you select fish to reveal upgrades, followed by 10 free games with your chosen enhancements active. During free games, fisherman symbols collect all fish values visible on the reels.
Power Play is an optional enhanced mode with higher minimum stakes (£0.50 to £5,000 versus £0.10 to £1,000 in standard mode). When activated, the reels only display fish symbols, fisherman collectors, and bonus symbols - removing all low-paying card symbols. This means every single spin results in either a cash collection win or a bonus trigger. There are no dead spins. Use Power Play if you want guaranteed action and can afford the increased stake range.
During any spin in base game or free games, Rapid Fire overlay symbols can appear on top of regular symbols. Landing 5 or more Rapid Fire overlays in view simultaneously triggers the Rapid Fire Jackpot bonus. You then have the chance to win instant cash prizes or one of five progressive jackpot pots: Mini, Minor, Major, Master, or Mega King. This system is designed for low individual values but high trigger frequency, giving more players jackpot experiences.
Each fisherman symbol that lands during free games collects all fish values currently visible on the reels. A meter tracks your fisherman collection. When you collect 4 fishermen, two things happen: the smallest fish tier upgrades to the next size (increasing their values), and you receive 5 additional free spins. Continue collecting fishermen and eventually all fish symbols become worth 50x your bet. The Golden Fisherman upgrade from Pick A Fish can collect wins up to 5 times.
Yes, this Blueprint Gaming slot is fully optimised for mobile phones, tablets, and desktop. The mobile version uses a portrait layout with jackpot values displayed in a compressed horizontal bar at the top. The Pick A Fish bonus adapts to mobile with 3 large fish hanging from hooks for easy touch selection, versus the desktop version where multiple fish swim across the screen. All features and RTPs remain identical across all platforms.
